ADR FAQ

FAQ

What is ADR and do we need it?

ADR is the data entry portal for the academic departments and certain offices which deal with students. The university needs these data for various purposes like NAAC, NIRF, and other ranking framework such as QS World Univetsity Ranking.

Using the ADR will eliminate the eleventh-hour data collection from the departments which is often erroneous and incomplete.

How is it different from AROHAN?

While AROHAN is for individual scholastic data of the faculty members and other academic staff, ADR is for data which is related to the department as a whole.

How many categories are available in ADR?

As of now, there are 5 (five) broad catagories - (i) Student, (ii) Event, (iii) Facility, (iv) Student Activity, and (v) Feedback. Out of these five, the first category (i) Student has 4 (four) sub-catagories - (a) Fellowship, (b) Placement, (c) Progression, (d) Competitive Exams, (e) Mentor.

Which categories are for academic departments?

Categories (i), (ii), (iii), and (v) are for academic departments and Category (iv) is for the Office of the DSW and GU's NCC Wing.

Are these categories fixed?

No. ADR will be adjusted as per the need of the hour.

How is it ensured that the data entered is correct?

We rely in the DQAC members of the departments and the concerned officials. The data entry facilities CAN NOT be used by other faculty members which are NOT DQAC members.

Can we see the data and is it publicly viewable

No. Only Faculty Members and Officials and other authorised persons can view the submitted data.

What is the use of Access Code?

The Access Code is needed to ensure that the facility is used by only authorised personnel.

Whom do we contact in case of any doubt or problem?

The IQAC, GU at iqac@gauhati.ac.in.
